Mediation

Mediation is an informal method of resolving disputes without using formal greivance procedures, going to court or to an employment tribunal. It has clear advantages as an alternative to more lengthy and costly ways of resolving disputes.

It involves the facilitation of two or more individuals who voluntarily and willingly seek resolution to a conflict and who maintain ownership for the process and its outcomes through open & honest dialogue.

The role of the mediator is to facilitate resolution through a structured and staged process which is safe and confidential for those involved. The mediator facilitates the process whilst ensuring that ownership and responsibility for decision making remains with the individuals involved.

We are able to provide mediation in workplace disputes, disagreements and interpersonal conflicts. This involves an initial discussion and assessment of the circumstances, a proposal and plan for the mediation process, and the provision of mediation by a skilled practitioner.
